Cuba duty free

The duty-free allowances for travellers aged 18 and over entering Cuba are as follows:

• Tobacco Products: Up to 400 cigarettes, or 50 cigars, or 250 grams of tobacco.
• Alcoholic Beverages: Up to 3 litres.
• Personal Effects: New and used items valued up to 1,000 Cuban pesos (CUP).
• Medicines: Up to 10 kilograms for personal use; please carry prescriptions for these medications.
• Electronic Devices: One laptop for personal use.

Travellers are required to complete the D'Viajeros online form within 72 hours before departing for Cuba. Upon completion, a QR code is generated, which must be presented (either electronically or in printed form) to authorities upon arrival.

Prohibited Imports

Prohibited items include narcotics and controlled substances, explosives and hazardous materials, pornographic material, unauthorized weapons and ammunition, and endangered species.

Satellite communication equipment, such as satellite phones, need prior approval.

Prohibited exports include national heritage artefacts, endangered species, and unauthorized publications.

How many cigars can you bring back from Cuba depends on the import rules of your country. For example, if you are heading back to the UK, you are allowed to bring in 50 cigars provided that you don't have other tobacco products.
